Well guys I hope you have all stoped GW long enough to know the new xbox will be comming out in a few months . For those who still dont know what it is .
Xbox 360 demo Thats a demo , showing what it can do . Hopefully I will be getting it at launch . What are your guys thought .

Hmm.. Benifits will include graphics resolution approacing that found on the PC (if you own a $4,000 HDTV, that is), online support that mimics what you could do with a PC in 1997, and rumors of skyrocketing prices for each system's games. And speaking of games, don't forget the same crappy title over and over again! Sign me up!

This game is unbeleivable , Eric Nyland the author of the first and last halo novels is writing the story , Cliffy B is making it . This game has GOTY all over it .

When the Playstation 1 came out, it broke new ground and had AWESOME games for that time ( eg Warhawk and X-com!). Its games grew even better when developers began to understand the potential of the systems power. And for its time it was a very powerful machine, equal to some of the better pcs at the time. However, that was then this is now.

The PS2 has been an utter letdown.

the xbox fared marginally better, but like echo said earlier Halo wasmerely ok and 1 good game does not a console make. Games like Splinter cell and Full Spectrum warrior were also awesome, but its been years since those two boxes have been out and developers either havent been able to tap their true power OR are just making shitty games.....

more than likely I will end up getting one because im a tech freak, but I SURE AS HELL aint gonna get one the first year of its release and pay far too much than its worth. I'll get a PSP this year and keep that with me til prices for the new boxes come WAYYYYYY down.

the ps3 has decided to use a hardware component called a physics card to do floating point calculations the 360 is way underpower compaired to that(also sony ownes the patent to this hardware) this makes it run using way less cpu power (doubling the processor speed for the physics)

xbox 360 for me, since all the other companies are slowly, but gradually losing business to microsoft games studios, and since i'm obssessed with online gaming the 360 for me (the ps2 never had a good online community, who's to say this will be different?)

The PS3 won't sell as well as the 360 (I believe) because Xbox live steered many people away from Sony and towards Microsoft. I am one of these people, and i'm gonna stick with my Xbox 360. It'd be smarter to invest in a better computer... Oh well.

In time i am gettin the Xbox 360 and the PS3. I was an avid Xbox gamer till all of the standbying and modding started. Hopefully Microsoft will make better guidelines for cheating.
I am gettin the Xbox 360 first because Microsoft knows how to link systems together -> windows... Xbox live. Even though the graphics system may be a little behind, online play should be much better than the PS3.
Sony's PS1 was a revolution in console gaming. It had great graphics, for its time, and was the first console system to use a CD format to store games. To read these CDs they had to have a good graphics card.
I think that PS3 will have better graphics for singleplayer, but Xbox 360 will dominate the online world.

NEVER. If my daughter wants one she can earn the cash and buy one. I put all my fun cash into my computers and my HDTV & sound system. To me nothing is better then a computer. They can be upgraded. They do more then just games. Also I rather use a keyboard anyday then those darn control gizmos. When you youngens get older you will see exactly what I mean. Your hands will not cooperate with your brain like they use to. Also they will HURT.

Nope...I just bought a new 3.4ghz box and I am happy with it. Untill they come out with the equivalent of a 4-5GHZ system.

Then I will be even happier!

EDIT: I will say this though, a Xbox would look mighty sweet on my HDTV. That I will give them credit for.

Why the hell would you buy a console only as powerful as a PC (within the next year), when it won't even have any decent games out for it? The only decent X-Box exclusive game was Halo. Halo 2 wasn't even very good, it sucked compared to the original. The only thing the XBox 360 is going to have is probably another Halo game, and Quake 4. Other than that...just other miscellaneous crap which when paired together with all the XBox games even doesn't make for an even mediocre game library. And Quake 4 will be out for the PC, so who cares about the XBox 360 version? The PS3 will be more powerful, have a game selection many times larger (and more worthwhile), and will also as a whole be more beneficial in the household me thinks. XBox 360? Does that mean they're going to take the original XBox which may have passed for a halfway decent system, and turn it all the way around to a piece of shit? I think I'll pass and buy a new video card with the money, thanks.

Sony, IBM, and Toshiba have been working on that cell technology for years for the PS3. You can't tell me that you would rather take a Microsoft product over those 3 quality companies.

I'm definitely goin with the ps3 for graphics and gameplay, though I might decide to buy the 360 when it jumps down to like 200-250 range.
